What is the deadline for RRSP or TFSA contributions for income tax purposes, does it have to be before end of December?

There is no TFSA deadline as it has no tax effect or consequence, the room for deposit in these carries forward from year to year.
RRSPs deadline for any given tax year is 60 days after the calendar year ends. (Or if it lands on a weekend, the first weekday financial institutions are open after the 60th day).
